Halichoeres garnoti

Halichoeres garnoti or Neon wrasse. Reportedly will eat isopods, pyramillid snails and bristleworms. Requires fine substrate to sleep in. This active water column swimmer is well known for jumping from tanks without any kind of covering. Please check for availability of this fish by email or phone as it is not commonly imported.
Maximum Size: the Halichoeres garnoti grows up to 6 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Neon Wrasse prefers a tank of at least 50 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Halichoeres garnoti is a carnivore and likes to eat Variety of meaty treats including frozen mysis, saltwater feeder shrimp, squid, scallop clam and other crustaceans..
Level of Care: The Neon Wrasse is a medium maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Neon Wrasse may act semi-aggressively toward other fish.
Hardiness: this is a moderately hardy fish
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78 F).
Range: Indo-Pacific.
