Accounts Payable Associate

Candidate should possess:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Experience with an accounting software program, Great Plains experience is a plus
- Proficiency in: 10-key by touch, MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Associate reports to the Accounting Supervisor
- Participates in the entire accounts payable cycle and ensures work completion at all times
- Responsible for keeping accurate records of invoices, credit memos, check vouchers and other payable documents which must be in accordance to the generally accepted accounting principles. Ensures expense coding, discount computation, voucher preparation and check issuances are accomplished precisely and timely.

- Analyzes and reconciles vendor statement of accounts with our records
- Communicates with vendors to clarify discrepancies on payable documents
- Works closely with other departments including but not limited to purchasing and receiving departments

Customer Service Representative
Ideal candidate will act as front line contact with customers. Primary duties involve problem-solving and providing accurate information to our customers in a professional and friendly manner. Our Customer Service Representatives will be responsible for supplying information on the specifications and proper use of products offered for sale on the Marine Depot website, as well as responding to customer e-mail and phone inquiries regarding shipping, order tracking, returns, order status, and site navigation.
Qualified Candidates Should Possess:
- Saltwater reef and fish experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An outgoing, positive attitude about providing superior customer service
- Computer literacy
- Ability to share your knowledge
- Multi-tasking capabilities
- Experience working in a problem-solving capacity
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with a positive shopping experience
- Ensure the competence and development of fellow Customer Service co-workers
- Work with the Customer Satisfaction Index to benchmark and improve our service execution
