Brittle stars are closely related to starfish. They crawl across the sea-floor using their flexible arms as "legs" for locomotion. The brittle star requires a cycled and stable aquarium and has a reputation for eating fish if underfed. They are excellent detrivores and keep excess food and detritus from building up. They’ll also consume any dead fish lost in your rockwork.
