Salifert Bio Coral/Coralline Amino Acid contains all the amino acids and the same bio-organic compounds in the same ratio as found in coral skeletons. There is sufficient evidence for that some amino acids are highly essential while some amino acids have a negative impact on the stability and growth of corals. Salifert's Coralline AminoAcids contains all the amino acids in correct proportions as found in coral skeletons. We omit all amino acids which have a negative effect on the stability and growth of the coral skeleton. Salifert is currently the only company offering such a well-defined formulation. Coralline AminoAcids gives corals the opportunity to form a stable skeleton or skeletal needles. The negative effects of phosphate are also markedly decreased. | Salifert Boron |

Salifert Boron is taken in by corals not simply because it is present in the water but appears to be highly essential for growth and its health. Boron is depleted slowly but steadily in aquariums in which boron is not replenished. Use the boron test and if boron is too low, use this product to correct it. This supplement does not contain the toxic boric acid compound (see above) but is, within 24 hours, gradually converted predominantly to the desired boric acid. This procedure has advantages since when added to the aquarium a locally high concentration will be present until evenly mixed throughout the whole aquarium. If it were present as boric acid then some slight but temporary toxic effect could take place. This danger has been prevented with our procedure. Salifert Coral Calcium is the safest way to increase and maintain calcium concentration. A great product! This product does not influence the ionic balance and composition. Each liter contains approx. 160,000 mg of calcium. You will appreciate this when you consider that an average aquarium depletes 5-8 mg of calcium per liter, each week.To avoid an ionic imbalance, we properly balance the calcium with ions such as sulfate, chloride, bromide, sodium and magnesium. | Salifert Coral Grower |

Salifert Coral Grower contains calcium, strontium and trace elements (except iodine) required for growth and multiplication by corals and the beautiful encrusting pink and red coralline algae. We explain the necessity of these elements below. Calcium and strontium are the major cationic constituents of calcareous algae, skeletal material of hard corals and the skeletal needles of soft/leather corals. Growth and multiplication of these organisms means depletion of those substances.
The trace elements included in Coral Grower allow organisms to carry out many biological processes. Manganese for instance is essential for the many biochemical reactions, which make photosynthesis possible. Iron allows several organisms to absorb nutrients. Cobalt is essential for the formation of several coral pigments. Zinc is, like manganese, essential for photosynthesis and is also used in the formation of calcium carbonate by corals. These are just a few of the trace elements present in Coral Grower and we could give many more examples.
