Kent Marine Aquarium Filter Media

| Kent Marine Phosphate Sponge Filter Media |
Kent Marine Phosphate Sponge Filter Media is not an algaecide, but a ceramic medium which will adsorb phosphates quickly (within hours) when placed directly in the water flow. Works in fresh and saltwater aquariums or ponds to bring about 1.0 ppm of phosphate or silicates down to less than .05 ppm in a 120 gallon tank for every dry quart of medium. For silicate to be removed, phosphates must first be removed. Beads are cracked to expose more surface area and increase efficiency! This product will not release soluble aluminum compounds into your aquarium, causing negative reactions from your inverts, as competing products may. Will also absorb moisture for use as an air dryer for ozone, and can be renewed over and over in moisture removal service! |

| Kent Marine Reef Carbon Filter Media |
Kent Marine Reef Carbon Filter Media removes organic pollutants, stains, and entrained toxic gases in marine and freshwater aquariums or ponds. Contains the finest pelletized activated bituminous coal based carbon. Pore size is in the 20 to 2,000 Angstrom range, ideally suited for removal of large organic molecules. Super activated with very high iodine and molasses numbers. Less than .2% ash making it suitable for sensitive species such as discus. Will not leach phosphates or promote undesirable algae growth, suited to sensitive reef systems! Engineered for water flow, will not clog easily like small granular or pelleted carbons. Outperforms any carbon especially coconut shell! |

| Kent Marine Maximum Power Phos |
Provides the most effective means of removing phosphate and silicate available; never releases them back into the water when exhausted, and requires very little physical space in the filtration system. More effective than similar products sold in dry form. For best results, use as fluidized media with the Kent Phos Reactor. Each 150 grams will reduce up to 1.0 ppm phosphate in 150 gallons of saltwater or 300 gallons of freshwater. Rinse in running purified water before use until water is clear. Power Phos must remain wet to retain effectiveness; if not using the entire contents of this jar at once, cap tightly. For maximum effectiveness, media should be placed in an area of high water flow; ideal use is inside the Kent Power Phos Reactor, which fluidizes this media and exposes it to water in the system faster, increasing the rate of phosphate and silicate removal; remove from included bag if using in this manner. Otherwise, place the media (inside the bag) in an area of high water flow. |

| Kent Marine Nitrate Sponge Filter Media |
Kent Marine Nitrate Sponge Filter Media is a granular zeolitic medium which works by two methods. 1) It slowly directly adsorbs small amounts of ammonia that are released by fish and natural processes, and 2) it fosters anaerobic bacterial denitrification due to its physical porous structure. This denitrification slowly reduces nitrate levels in the aquarium. It works well in freshwater tanks or tap water to remove toxic ammonia directly! Nitrate Sponge prolongs the time allowed between water changes by keeping nitrates low! |
