The Aqua Medic Ocean Light Sexy Series of lighting hoods is an economical and flexible spin off of the popular Spacelight line. All fixtures are made of corrosion resistant aluminum and retain the sleek lines of the Spacelight. The ballasts in the Ocean light series have been moved out of the hood into an external ballast box to reduce the heat and weight over your aquarium. The Sexy series combines different wattage and color temperature metal halide bulbs. This provides the ultimate flexibility in producing the perfect color of light to suit your needs. Hanging kit, light shields and bulbs included. |

Tips & Tricks: (for all models)
- For easy bulb installation, use a touch of White Lithium Grease on the bulb-end blades.
- Always use a GFI when installing your lighting systems.
- Use timers to create a consistent light cycle.
- If your fixture includes daylight and 20K bulbs, use a separate timer for each color to simulate a dawn and dusk effect by having the 20K bulbs come on first and turn off last.
- If you are upgrading to a more powerful light fixture start with the fixture hung higher above the tank and lower it gradually to 6"-12" from the water surface.

This series is a staff favorite at Aqua Medic USA. By using smaller wattage HQI bulbs (20K) nested between the larger wattage primary HQI bulbs (10K) dramatic gains in color mixing and depth of punch are achieved. Do you want your dawn and dusk lighting periods to dance? Enjoy, for the first time, the magical shimmer lines you get from your daylights, now gracing your morning and evening blue effects. For those taking advantage of all the new mid-Kelvin HQI offerings by forgoing a mix of bulbs colors, instead running a single bulb color across the entire system, the 4' 2x250 and 6' 4x250 systems offer ideal alternatives to a row of pendants. The Oceanlight Metal Halide Combos now include our Oceanballast M magnetic ballasts and bulb.
