Bak-Pak hang on the back Cyclone. Complete with Venturi powerhead. No overflow, return pump or plumbing needed. May use for "Berlin Method". Compact, fits most glass or acrylic aquariums.
The Bak-Pak Pre-skimmer fits around the powerhead and skims water from the surface of the aquarium where wastes accumulate. The Pre-skimmer makes the Bak-Pak even more efficient.
The Bak-Pak Bubble Trap is perfect for using the Berlin Method. Simply remove the Bio-Bale, insert the Bubble Trap and tighten the screw to completely eliminate bubbles escaping back into your aquarium.
The Bak-Pak Black Box is a combination of pre-skimmer and bubble trap combined into one unit. There's also room for chemical filtration such as carbon.
The SR Series Protein Skimmers can be used in sump or stand alone. |

Experts are learning that protein skimming is critical for marine aquaria, particularly sensitive reef aquaria. As a system matures, protein skimming can become the most important type of filtration.
Some of the compounds a CPR protein skimmer removes are: soluble proteins, amino acids, organic dyes, fatty acids, carbohydrates, enzymes, detergents, some metal ions, iodine, phosphorus, algae cells, protozoa, bacteria and tiny particles of detritus.
Of all the various filtration methods available to the marine aquarist, only protein skimming removes most organic from the system before they break down into toxic ammonia and nitrite compounds. CPR uses proven Rejuventation Venturi Technology (RVT) in its various protein skimmers which use air and water injection to efficiently remove excess organics.
All skimmers are produced with high grade acrylic which allows for the use of ozone without discoloration or damage, and they all have removable collection cups for easy cleaning. |
