 The Precision Marine HOT-1 Protein Skimmer is offered as two models, HOT-1 (standard) & HOT-1+. The HOT-1 is a Hang On Tank model that uses the venturi device on the MAXI-JET 1200. We believe there is nothing in it’s class that touches the performance, and of course the build quality. We think you will agree.
The difference between the HOT-1 and the HOT-1+ is the keyholed acrylic lid and the drain on the cup of the HOT-1+. It can be used with a Precision Marine Waste Collector. Functionally, it’s identical to the HOT-1 standard.
