Comments: I upgraded from a coralife, and it definitely skims WAY better. No competition. And so far, has never gone foam-crazy like the coralige. Hard to get effective dry skim though, so buy/build a waste container. And one quirk/possible feature: When you add food, or pretty much anything, it stops working for an hour or so. Same with smoke from the BBQ. Odd, but saves turning it off for feeding. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've had this skimmer up and running for a little over a week now. It's a very aggressive skimmer! After about 3-4 days of break-in it really took off. I was skeptical on how noisy the pump would be. I was also worried about the heat it would transfer to the water since it's submersed in the sump. Really impressed with how silent the Mag 5 runs! It also only increased water temp. by 1 degree F. in my 75G tank! Awesome skimmer!!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It's not so plug and play as you would be led to believe, you will need to buy plumbing and other parts to get it retrofitted to your system and more than likely you'll make several trips to the local hardware store, but once you get it tuned to your system, it runs like a champ. Be aware that you need to plug the collection cup overflow valve or run a tube to a collection bucket/etc.. I opted for a RIO 2500 pump to overdrive the skimmer and it has worked out great. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I love it. I purchased the mag drive 7, and all i needed was a couple of feet of 3/4 in hose and a ball valve (also a foot of 5/8 hose for the drain) and the skimmer works great. In less than 24 hours its pulled more green sludge from my tank than my old one would in weeks. I am running this on 120 gal (140 gal system) mixed reef and its located in my sump. Just cant believe the amount of foam this thing produces, a real work horse. I would say a great skimmer for the money!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: THE AQUAC EV120 PROTEIN SKIMMER DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB. I AM THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT LIKES TO HAVE THE BEST EQUIPMENT AND THIS SKIMMER JUST ADDS TOO IT. IF YOU WANT A QUALITY PRODUCT THAT WORKS GREAT YOU NEED THE EV120. WHEN YOU SEE THE GUNK THIS SKIMMER REMOVES YOU WILL BE AMAZED. TO WRAP UP MY COMMENT I AM SETTING UP A 210 GAL AND WILL BE BUYING THE AQUAC 1200. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It is rare that a product works better than expected. It does. This skimmer is wonderful! I couldn't be happier. Works fantastic. I'm getting a TON of skimmate. It's really cleaning and polishing the water. Perfectly quiet. Easy to maintain. Love the way the water exit is high so that the water level inside the skimmer is more stable. It is well engineered. Solid. Only big positives all around. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have the AquaC EV-120 in the 29G DIY sump/refugium for a 75G mixed reef tank. This skimmer is amazing for the money, doing the job of skimmers priced much higher. Between the air flow and gate valve controls, you can really dial in your desired skimmate. I am really pleased with the performance. Highly recommended. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The unit has been in my filter box for eight days now.It has gone just how the directions has said it would go.If you follow the instructions to the letter it should work just fine.On the seventh day after making some last minute fine tuning itis producing good dry foam.I would recomend it highly. Comments: System worked great out of the box. Mag drive pump has a 1/2 inch outlet and skimmer has a 3/4 inch inlet. You would think a matched setup would have come with the necessary additional parts or at least a 3/4 to 3/4 matching pump. Called, Marine Depot, to order the additional parts as they are not available locally. With that being said the skimmer works great. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This skimmer is absolutely awesome, it took a couple of days to break it in, but once it took off it started pulling alot of junk from my water. I'm absolutely sold on these skimmers and from here on out all my tanks will have these skimmers in the sumps. there is no substitute spend the money on a nice skimmer instead of shorting yourself and your live stock the quality they deserve Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I was a little confused at first with this product because as soon as I hooked it up there was foam coming up into the cup. It does say a break-in process in user manual...but I dont think there really is a break-in process. That was the only confusing thing I had with this other then that this thing for sure does it job and is worth every cent!. I empty the cup once a day or so. I cant believe what this pulls out of my tank...some nasty stuff. I would recommend this highly. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is one great skimmer. This thing pulls out some of the darkest junk out of your water. Even though they recommend the mag 5 for this skimmer the best results come from a Eheim 1260 pump. The thing you need to do though is to put a valve on the Eheim. With this pump this skimmer works ten times as well than with many other pumps and will pull out an unbelievable amount of extremely dark skimmate. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This skimmer works great! Some of the darkest skimate I have seen, I currently have it set up on a 55 with a 30 sump. It is plumbed out of sump. The MAG 7 is a must!!! I would not recommend this product to my friends.
