This 175W Single Ended Mogul 14000K bulb casts a crisp-white light with a blue tint. Great for bringing out the coloration of fish and corals while providing sufficient intensity for growth. An HQI, Pulse-Start or Electronic ballast is required. This bulb is offered at an excellent price and is a very good choice for reef tanks up to 18" deep.

Comments: these bulbs made a world of difference, my colors are more brighter ,my corals are opening more,someone who has been in the reefing hobby for 20 years recomended these phoenix brand bulbs,all i can say is wow,with the tint of blue they put out, i dont even use my actinics,all i can say is "wow "

Comments: The Phoenix 14K bulb has amazing color output. It appears near the same color temp as my Radium 20K when it was 5 months old. I have yet to check the PAR, but from what i understand it's a PAR hawg. Most SPS seem to be responding well and I have seen a noticeable rate change in growth with my pink birdsnest and encrusting monti's in the past 2 weeks. I just hope i can get longer than 6 months out of the Phoenix because the Radium sure have a short life span.
