My original Maxxima canister cracked. Ordered this one to replace. Different thread than original. This one cracked within three months of installation. Flooded the house. Believe me, I did not over tighten.

Very pleased with this canister. I spent weeks looking for the actual canister for the Coralufe RO system to no avail. Tried this, changed it all out and works perfectly awesome. I would recommended it by all means.

I do not know if this canister is for all models of RO/DI models I have a Maxxima 3 stage system and it seems to work fine except for a small leak in one of the replaced canisters right at the treads, I will get to se if it is temporary before calling to see if there is a fix, my existing wrench to remove the all canisters do not seem to work with the new canisters.

I had to use this to replace the Captive Purity cannister that ended up splitting in less than 3 weeks.
This unit seems to work OK but it has to be tightened really hard to stop from leaking. Im convinced the Captive Purity RO systems are sub quality in comparison to Spectra-Pure RO systems. I would NOT recommend any Captive Pure RO to anyone I like.

I had a canister crack during a recent cold spell, and ordered this as a replacement. The threads don't match up with the factory installed canisters on the unit, so you have to replace the lid as well. Other than that, it seems to hold water

Does exactly what I wanted it to do, my previous ones broke due to me leaving it outside in cold weather and froze. Easy to screw on and off and doesn't leak.

I've got a Kent Marine Silica Max RO unit - this cannister is replacing the DI cannister, which cracked. The top of this unit does NOT fit the Kent Marine unit, but all the plumbing attaches fine. I was able to get three screws to attach the cannister, but the fourth won't fit. Its adequate, as the unit sits in a second bathroom, generally out of sight. No leaks.

Comments:
I had something very similar to this as the original canisters that came with my Kent Maxxima filter. Each of the sediment and carbon pre-filter housings lasted a few years but eventually fractured under the constant water pressure. Fortunately, I was at home when each of these broke or there would have been considerable flooding.
In fairness, I may have installed them too tight, aggravating the problem. But I still would not recommend using these for your pre-filters. If the water supply is always on to your filter I would recommend using the non see through housings as they are made of a softer material that is much less likely to fracture. I replaced my 2 pre filters with blue canisters but left the acrylic see through filter for the post-filter DI cartridge since that part of the system is not under high pressure (it's nice to be able to see the DI filter to know when it's used up).
