This is one of those products you should not do without if you own a Sicce PSK-2500. These pumps are know for not always starting right up. With this needle wheel, problem solved. I put it on my SWC Xtreme Cone and never looked back. Awesome product !!

I had been running the stock needle wheel on the Sicce PSK 2500 pump for My Octopus 200 Extreme skimmer and I was less than satisfied. After I easily disassembled the pump I compared the two and doubted this was going to help. I was wrong big time. The skimmate I was getting in a week now takes two days.Corals are much happier. Next step is to see if my skimmer sitting in 9" of water would be better in 8". Bottom line for 19.99 its a no brainer if your running the white stock needle wheel. More than happy!

Install was a snap and only took 1 minute using slip-joint pliers (for twisting the cover off to access the magnet, etc. as well as puling the yellow stopper off the spindle). Wheel seemed to be sturdy enough. After installing I fired the pump back up and my Reef Octopus was pulling gunk within an hour. Assuming it lasts longer than the original wheel I will be very pleased. I give 5 stars as I have no reason to think it will crack and fail anytime soon.

I bought this needle wheel after the stock wheel that came with my skimmer broke. I noticed right away that there was some left over plastic for the molding that needed cut off. I installed it and it was a little noisy. Not to much but just enough for me to tear the pump down. I found that if you chamfer the edge of the wheel it reduced the noise greatly. Over all not bad for the money.

Using this on an Octopus 160 XS with the 2500 pump.
Will not work with the stock 600.
Had to sand the wheel down a bit (1/16") as it was too tall and made tons of noise. After a little surgery, worked like a charm. Very quiet and loads of bubbles.
Would be a 5 if it wasn't for the needed modification.
Outperforms the LPPW by a mile in my case.

I got this item because I read nothing but great reviews. I wanted more of a thicker foam in my skimate. I have an Octopus Extreme 160 Recirculating System which by the way is a great skimmer and they have above excellent customer service. I installed the Red Devil and instanly saw more micro bubbles. I get a real nice thick foam like I wanted. Extremely happy!!!!

Loose the purple and go red!! This needle wheel fires up 100% and puts out ample amount of micro bubbles for me! The 100% start up is priceless! That's the main reason I switched from the purple wheel is due to infrequent if ever start up and it caused it to break prematurely! This red Aquamaxx fires up immediately every time and I'm so pleased! Highly recommended!

replaced my ATB purple pin wheels with these on my ATI bubble master 250 skimmer and have a dramatic improvement of skimmate production, easy to install and have no startup issues with the sicce pumps, i've read these are exactly like the Warner Marine Red Demon pinwheels but are 10 bucks cheaper
