Using on 65 gal. as sump return, dual return with about 40" head. I thought I was sizing to be able to use the adjustment, but looks like I ordered the "correct" size. Did not bother me enough to return for larger size. Very easy to integrate into system, runs very quiet, overall very happy with this pump.

Runs well and silent. No complaints about quality and performance at all. Just one little jam. Why does such a dinky little pump (I got the 1100) come with a only a large 3/4 inch fitting? lol. Surely they must know that many people use these to power top-off units and reactors. No matter, it's a great pump for the money and I'm very pleased with it.

Bought this pump to replace the original pump supplied with my Innovative Marine 38 gal Nuvo aquarium. The pump is fairly quiet and puts out adequate flow. My options were limited because of the space available in the back of the Nuvo, this pump fits and is working well. I would recommend it.

I really like this product, except for 1 MAJOR problem. The flow control does NOT reduce to a level low enough for my needs, and the Maxi Jet 400 does not have a rise that is hi enough for my needs. If the Maxi Jet 900 would reduce flow even another 10% it would still provide enough rise, as well as have the proper flow needed for my use. This means that I have to put an inline restricter in my water flow in order to maintain proper low flow requirements, while maintaining the same rise.

I really like these pumps! I have have a 5500, which pushes an enormous amount of water! Very quiet! I think it is more quiet than "so called" Quiet Ones. I use an 1800 with the flow reduced to my chiller, and have a 400 on my Phan-ban reactor and one in my refill reservoir, plugged into a Auto Topper Also very quiet and just the right amount of flow for the reactor. I'm thinking of replacing the noisy Rio pumps I have on my Aqua refugiums and Nano tank with these as well.

Initial reaction - flow provided seems good. this was a replacement for a Maxi jet 900. Don't see a significant difference in flow rate (~30gph). Works well so far, but only been a week so far. Very quiet operation, no noise so far. FYI - the output is 3/4", so for some AIO tanks that have 1/2" returns you will need to make some adjustment. Really hard to rate at this point, because its only been a week.
