This flexible tubing was exactly what I needed. I needed to make several bends in a small area, including around other rigid pipes. This worked perfectly.

This review relates to 1-1/2 inch ultra flex.
I bought this to make short (12 to 18 inch) flexible unions between two tanks sitting side by side that are being used as sumps. I needed to connect the bulkhead fittings with something flexible. I didn't find it to be very flexible. Since it maintains a slight curve no matter how short of a piece you use I was worried that the 1/4 inch glass wouldn't be able to handle the strain of even a slight bend. The local Lowes hardware store sells "regular" flexible PVC and it seems to be about the same as the ultra-flex in regards to flexibility. Smaller diameters might be more flexible, this is pretty big stuff. I ended up using a couple of rubber "no hub" couplings to make my unions.

This product is pretty much the same as the spa tubing you'd get at home depot. It's nice tubing, don't get me wrong, but at the larger diamter it's no more flexible than the regular clear flex tubing you'd get anywhere else. It does fit into regular PVC fittings, no hose barbs. My connections were water tight, no issues there.

Reasonably priced, extremely flexible, very tough. This Flex PVC integrates seamlessly with your normal pvc fittings with standard PVC cement, allowing you to eliminate many sharp bends that would otherwise hinder flow characteristics of your pump or overflow. For those of you who drilled glass, using flex PVC will alleviate the additional stress on the weakened glass normally added by hard PVC plumbing. It also eliminates an accidental 'bump' of hard PVC, causing a crack in the glass at the drill spot.

I needed something better than the 1.5 inch pool-type flex hose found at Lowes, Home Depot and all the local hardware stores. This hose is exceptional quality, will last almost forever, and was very reasonably priced.

ordered some 3/4" for my return and 1" for drains. cuts like butter using standard pvc pipe cutters. a dab of pvc glue and here is the Key, TWIST it into the fitting and it will slide right in. Since it has twisted pvc coil inside, pushing it in like normal PVC will cause it to bind and not be fully inserted, twist and it will go in fully.

Used a standard primer and PVC cement to plumb. No leaks. Minimized vibrations from pump (compared to hard PVC).

If you're trying to push this up on hose barbs, you didn't read the description. Use standard PVC fittings, primer, and glue. This is a permanent product, not removable.
Use it right and it's fantastic!

This tubing is super easy to work with and much more flexible then typical flexible PVC. Being PVC it needs to be glued with proper PVC glue to PVC fittings. I will be ordering more for future needs.
