IceCap T5 Color Accurate Lamps

Lighting is one of the most important components of a reef aquarium. Correct color with the appropriate intensity is a critical factor in the health of aquarium organisms. This is why many aquarists have turned to T5 lamps to provide the very specific lighting requirements of their reef environments. Relatively new to the hobby, T5`s have a higher PAR output than other fluorescent technologies due to their compact shape and ability to be fitted with highly effective reflectors. It is also more practical to combine multiple lamps for a blend of colors with T5s than other lamp types.

IceCap Color Accurate T5 lamps are designed to perfectly compliment the electronic fluorescent ballast technology of the famous 660 and 430 ballasts, creating a new gold standard for aquarium lighting. These lamps utilize very popular phosphor blends with a heavy-duty filament specifically designed to be overdriven by the IceCap ballast With the release of a dip-on style T5 reflector with 95% reflectivity, IceQp lighting has quickly gained fame as one of the best in its class.

Specifications:
Designed for maximum growth of shallow water species. When operated with an IceCap ballast, it burns a bright white much like the sun in the tropics. Bulb measure 22 1/8" from tip to tip.
