Not a strong magnet, does not float, had to be careful when using it so that it didn't fall off and sink to the bottom. Took several passes just to clean minor algae. The instructions on how to flip the magnet really aren't effective. The scraper fell off the glass and sank every time I tried to flip it. I have since stopped using it and bought a different one.
Save yourself the hassle and spend the extra money for a good algae scrubber.

I really like the slim design, making it easier to get hard to reach spots where corals are close. I usually scrape my tank on a daily basis to keep down on any growing algae, but the scraper part doesn't work to well on the harder to clean algae. I like it so much though, I plan on getting one for my other tanks though!

Interesting idea. Flip function works well. Neither the scraper nor the scrubber was as effective as a Mag Float or Nano Mag cleaner.

I have large tanks packed with coral. Some has grown to very close to the glass, and using a hand blade or even a pole scraper does not work (especially along the sand or rock line) and I end up breaking the edge of corals or even knocking some over in attempting to scrape the glass of hard algae. The normal mag floats are bulky, but I've used for many years.
Ahat I like about this one is that it is super trim, and fits in hard to reach places. The scraper works, but not perfectly, taking some adjustment to get it to really scrape anything. The idea is sound and the potential is there, but the product still needs some improvement in scraping capability for out-of-the box performance. With some adjustment, I was able to get it to scrape better. Of course the key is to swipe it every day, as if the coraline is just forming, it is much easier to remove. Overall I am very happy, but note there is much improvement than can be done on the scraping capabilities.
Also the clear scraper is a bad idea. I had it fall off once, and it disappeared in the sand, taking a long moment to hunt down because it was clear and nearly invisible.
Pros: slim and trim, scrapes OK, better algae removal than similar products, fits where hand scrapers cannot, better scraping angle
cons: could scrape better as it isn't even close to the effectiveness of a good old razor blade, clear is scraper hard to find if it falls off

This is the best thing ever. I was using a mag-float, but the scraper on this mag-flip is just outstanding. I have a bowed front so it really helps that I can go from side to side, unlike with a scraper with a handle.

Having my aquarium inside my family room wall, makes it difficult to work from the front of the tank. With this MULTI- glass cleaner I can place the business part of the cleaner against part of the front glass and just let it sink down and it sets down vertically and magnet facing the front glass. Easy to flip, however it could have a better edge on the scraper end (sharper, wider, less of an angle). Magnet is very powerful.

I bought this cleaner, thinking it would do just as it advertises - and that was to remove the hard to clean green algae from the glass. It FAILS miserably. The scrubbing side also fails the test. It only cleans the outer most part of the entire surface - so it takes 3 times the time to clean with it. I just ended up using a razor blade and my hand to get the green coraline of the glass. I would not recommend this.

Does the bare minimum. Mag-Flip does not flip as easily as stated.
Barley removes any algae, will not remove anything difficult. Don't even think about removing coralline algae with this, which makes the Mag-Flip pointless b/c you must clean glass again with something else.

I brought this product mainly to remove the hard green algae build up from my tank. The Mag-Flip spectacularly fails to do this. If the scraper was made from stainless steel it may have worked better, but the plastic scraper that it comes with completely fails to fore fill it's manufacturers claims.

How disappointed I am in this product. I spent over $30.00 with shipping and handling and the product is such a disappointment, that if I was not already a big fan of Mag-float products I would never order from this company again. The scraper can not remove the simplest of algae let alone the hard green algae the advertisement leads you to believe.
