I bought this for my 16gallon nano, and wanted to dim the R2. I set it up on the moon phase. Tonight the moon is at 80%, last night it was at 74. It has a waxing or waning option. I have them set at 8am to 4am. They simulate dawn and dusk, and are on with the daylights to enhance color. Highly reccomend. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends. I have two R2 5-led blue light running off of it. The effect is great the light really do cover 3+ feet of water as they claim. The controller was easy to install and set up.
