This is the best book available for the saltwater hobby. This book is the most comprehensive and definitive book about the saltwater hobby. If you haven't bought a book, start here. If you have bought a book on the hobby, get this one too. This is a must have. It's often referred to as the bible in forums.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! and that goes for the second and third volumes as well. A wealth of pertinent information on the reef hobby for the novice and expert alike. I keep referring to the three volume set to answer all of my questions or just to refresh myself. Definitely recommend this book and the second and third volumes...Delbeek and Sprung definitely know their stuff!

This book is excellent!! I've been fighting an alkalinity problem. I've read book after book, I've checked news groups, and various web sites. I've even read volume 1 of this series. Nothing helped or had any suggestions. In desperation I ordered this book, and sure enough there it was on page 238. The cure to my problem. Order this book it is worth every penny. All the money we spend on equipment, fish and test kits buying this book is money well spent!!!

Great book! While it has been around for a while, it still has VERY relevant material on the biology and keeping of stony corals and clams, as well as techniques to curb problems in aquariums.

Buy this book. I can't say how helpful this book is. You might think it is expensive, but the Marine Depot price is half of elswere. Just amazing and up to date unlike other books.
