Comments: Easy to replace. Agree with previous reviews that using plumber's putty is a better approach than the recommended silicone. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is a real nice replacement pump seal for the dolphin pump. I recommend using plumbers putty instead of a silicone caulking. The white plastic pipe which came with the kit is an excellant idea so you can press the seal in evenly and tight. Quality is important for all my pond needs. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: In my investigation of replacing the seal it was appearantly not the seal but instead the sealant used to mount the seals metal casing to the plastic housing. The seal had many years of life left. It was instructed of me to use silicone sealant but I'm familar with this and have not had much success with it. Instead I used plumbers Goop which made great adhesion to the plastic and a shorter drying time. Works great. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
