Comments: This is my second unit, first one lasted 7 years. It only failed becuase the wirng was disconnected in my home-made T-5 fixture and I kept trying to start it thinking I had bad lamps or sockets. Rock solid ballast, gives great lamp life. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have 2, 48" VHO (Aquasun) T5s over my tank. My previous ballast failed after 2 years of operation. The Icecap 660 replacement does indeed appear brighter and I'm very happy it has a 3 year guarantee. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I bought this to replace a ballast that had died of old age (different brand). The 660 is well built and was easy to install. The packaging included easy to follow instructions which made it a breeze to wire up the 3 VHO tubes used to light my tank. The price paid including shipping was the lowest I could find anywhere on the web. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I would recommend this ballast to anyone that wants a trouble free, no maintenance ballast. i had my last one for almost 4 years and it was great. No heat and easy to set up. The only negative i would say for this product is the price. You have to look at it as an investment in your hobby. For that price they should include the heat sink, otherwise great product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Great deal on this cool running ballast. This is my 2nd one. Add 2 pairs of double bulb brackets & bulbs, a cheap 4" fan, and a little lumber, and viola! A 6', 440 watt hood that matches my 150 gal. aquarium's wood stand for about $225!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I had great faith in icecap. They sell the 660 as a fully dimable ballast but dont tell you that I only dims VHO NOT T5's. If your looking to dim T5's this is a no go I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Have been running this sense Ballast 1998 Need I Say MORE. With 3 VHO 110 watt 46.5 Fluorescent Bulbs The wiring diagram is pretty clear. (!!NOTE to User!! Double and triple cheek the wirring to make sure its RIGHT take your time) I use water proof end caps. all fits in my 55 gal hood 48 ins Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have several IceCap 660 ballasts and love them. Performance is superior to other cheap ballasts I have tried plus they are serviceable and come with a great warranty. I also like the fact that they overdrive the bulbs for more light output. Just a great product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I used the 660 to replace a PFO ballast that came with my shimmer light to run the two 96 watt PC bulbs that supplement the 250 watt metal halides. It was easy to wire the harness, even though I had to cut off the PFO four pin connectors. The bulbs fire up without issue and seem brighter than before. Also an added benefit of the IceCap is that it is lo light and comppact. Highly recommended. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I'm using the IceCap 660 to overdrive four UV T5 HO lights with individual reflectors. IceCap claims T5 will burn 40% brighter with the 660 but compared to my Current USA Nova Extreme Pro T5 HO I that number is actually closer to 15%. It's a well built ballast but I'm not totally convinced it was worth all the extra money I paid. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: i love this product. lowest price i found on the internet. at first i was looking for the catch when purchasing like no wiring harness or heat sink. when i received it i was pleasently surprised to find it ships intact with everything needed to run. all you need is the bulbs (anything from regular to vho),end caps and a power plug. love the versatility of the ice cap. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased this ballast to replace an existing Icecap 660,that I had purchased as "used" several years ago.I find these ballasts very reliable,extremely adaptable in terms of type & wattage of bulbs that can be run at same time.I have very little heat produced by the ballast,which is another bonus.Lastly Icecap has a great warranty & customer support. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is the cheapest VHO ballast on the market. I say cheapest because it will save you so much in cooling cost that it will pay for itself over time. My old ballast got so hot it was untouchable and my chiller had to kick in on a regular basis. After running this ballast for hours it was barely warm, my chiller hardly ever kicks on now. Your bulbs will be much brighter as well. Hookup was a snap but the wires could be a little longer. I only wish I had bought one of these sooner. If you are just getting started, do yourself a favor and buy this ballast....then write your own review. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Perfect T5 Ballast Overdrived by Trickman2

Comments: Runs quiet and Cool + wiring has quick disconnect for easy install. Using to overdrive a setup of T5 bulbs. A standard T5 ballast will push 48 bulbs at 55 watts this ballast will give you 85 Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
