JBJ 28 Gallon LED Nano Cube with FREE MTS-60 Aquarium Stand
JBJ introduces the newest innovation for the popular 28g Nano Cube Series. Our high intensity LED illumination system delivers the power of halides and the broad coverage of T5 lighting with over 10x the lifespan. It requires less energy consumption, is cool running and offers beautifulshimmering while being eco-friendly.
ADVANCED FEATURES:
LED Illumination
High intensity LED lighting offers the ability to dramatically increase PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) which designates the spectral range from 400
- 700 nanometers for the growth of photosynthetic organisms while lowering energy input.
24 Hour Light Cycles
Our new canopy offers around the clock illumination all powered by individual power cords
- Daylight – 25 x 3 Watt – 14K
- Dawn/Dusk – 4 x 3 Watt – Actinic/466nm
- Moon – 2 x 1 Watt – Nite-Vu/456nm
Time to Change Lamps?
Impressive 50,000 hour lifespan with a 30% reduction in output. You won’t need to change lamps for at least 10 years*
Going Green Safely
LEDs do not produce any ultra-violet radiation that is harmful for living organisms and do not contain any toxic mercury that is harmful for the environment. These solid state components are extremely durable and prevent accidental lamp breakage through handling associated with fluorescents. Consuming less energy puts less greenhouse gas emissions into our surroundings….
Beautifully Efficient
Our 89 watt LED system provides comparable PAR output to our 150 watt HQI – 14K canopy system, while consuming approximately 40% less energy.. Enjoy the mesmerizing shimmering of all 3 light cycles generally only found in nature.
Since LEDs turn on to full brightness without having to warm up, you can instantly light up your aquariums without the wait. These revolutionary diodes radiate heat upwards and away from the water to reduce unwanted heat transfer that can be detrimental for aquarium livestock.
Integrated Cooling System
The secret to our cool running top is our artistic canopy which houses an efficient aluminum heat sink for fast heat dissipation. All canopies are made from Flame Retardent ABS Plastic. The 4 cooling fans automatically turn on/off with the main lighting system. A thermal protector is also added to automatically shut of the lighting system in the event the fans fail, it will automatically turn back on once temperatures reach safe conditions.
Easy Feeding
New feeding lid is lighter than the previous full front lid. Grants quick and easy access for feeding and retrieving water samples without lifting the entire hood.
Smart Filtration
The filter starts as water enters the center overflow. The water is directed into our 3-Stage Filter Media Basket, which is installed with a mechanical sponge, chemical activated carbon, and biological ceramic rings.
Our unique 3-Stage Filter Media Basket can host a variety of chemical medias to suit your needs. Cleaning is especially easy, since all you have to do is lift up on the basket handle and watch the water drain out the bottom for a simple and dry filter change. All baskets have a sliding door for added convenience.
Nothing to Hide
Our newly redesigned filter basket is now transparent for easy refugium conversions. Simply add macro algae (eg. Chaeto) into chamber one and chamber two. We recommend leaving the activated carbon in chamber three with a small piece of the mechanical sponge before the water exits to prevent algae clogging pumps.
Creating Motions in Captive Oceans
Our redesigned Ocean Pulse Duo now incorporates a memory chip for flawless performance after a power failure.
Your wavemaker creates turbulent currents for a more natural reef environment. You can set it from 10 seconds to 6 minute alternating cycles. Water is returned via (2) directional return nozzles on each side of the center overflow for even natural currents.
Contemporary Design
Our 2nd generation stand is the perfect complement to our 28g Nano Cube Aquarium. It offers a chiller storage compartment with pre-installed side vents for needed airflow and a shelf for storage.
This contemporary design lifts the aquarium off the pedestal with 4 chrome cyclinders to showcase your living reef.

If it were not for a couple of minor issues I had with the tank as it was delivered, I'd definately give this item a five rating. The great parts about the tank:1. Easy set-up.2. Superior Lighting3. Great appearance of tank setup.4. Filters, pumps, light all set-up in box. No assembly there.5. Quiet system. The issues I am referring to are not major, but I will list them off here and make comments so anyone buying tank can know how to correct, or deal with issue:1. The manufacturer built the system with a couple of cosmetic flaws and labling erroes that are not too noticable, but were annoying. First the tag on the front of the tank is crooked. This is the "NANO CUBE 28G" tag affixed crooked on mine. Although not major, it is in the front so everone can see it.2. The black adhesive used to adhear the glass to the bottom frame in the front was dripped and dried on the front glass in one small spot. Although not too noticable, it was a pain to remove without scratching the glass.3. The stand came with three horizonal shelves; the bottom, middle and top. Whoever manufactured the stand mislabled the bottom and middle levels so when I put the stand together, I did not realize the labling error with the tags until screw holes were out of whack and I figured it out. Also, the wood pegs on these levels were not installed on my unit and being handy, I figured out the mistake and put them in the correct areas. The directions do not diagram where these go.4. Finally, the JBJ 28G has a slot for a protein skimmer. JBJ no longer manufactures the skimmer they used to sell. I finally settled on an USA AquaEuro 2. JBJ should probably provide information on recommended skimmers to save time for customers. I would definately buy this unit again if in the market. Again, comments above were to assist those in the market. I reserve the Five Star ratings for those items that are "perfect" and go beyond my expectations.

I love how bright the led lights are and the compact size. I had a 94 gal. reef about 6 years ago but do not have the room for that size now. This fits great where it is and it will be great be back in the hobby I have missed a lot. i have been in this hobby for about 15 years and have seen a lot of changes.

I didn't know what to expect, with this tank. I owned a 12 gal topless nano with 70w metal halide, so it was a bit of a shock when I opened the box a noticed the size difference. The lighting is gorgeous, not quite metal halide, but like it said in the details it is very comparable. The moon lights are cool to look at in the night, but are too bright in my opinion. The adjustable times for the wave makers prove for a very effective flow of water, however it could’ve come with slightly strong return pumps. The set up of the stand was quick and easy, don’t listen to the other reviews about the it being hard to set up, if you can read and see simple words and pictures you can do it. If you're considering a nano cube, go ahead and spend the extra money for the LED version it's worth it!

Received my JBJ28 Nano a few days and put live rock in it yesterday. I am new to the saltwater hobby and chose the JBJ Nano for it's "all-in-one" set-up. The LED lighting is great especially with the 24 hour lighting to simulate the real world.
Overall I am very satisfied with this product and would not hesitate to refer this to anyone who may be interested in getting into the hobby and wants to start with something small.

The tank looks great, but a couple of things need to be changed. First the return pumps are far too weak. The flow rate for a 28 gallon tank should be more than a small power head pump. Next the three power chords for the lights in the hood come out on the side, detracting from the sleek, contained appearance.

I bought the LED model to replace my Power Compact model on July 2nd, 2010. The remote ballast for the whole LED panel + fans stopped working on August 31st, 2010! Now I have to ship my ballast back to JBJ for warranty exchange and it will take another 3-4 days to get the replacement. Hope my expensive corals won't die by that time~~~

Well I never thought I would buy a fishtank over the web. From CA to FL and it arrived in one piece. Tank looks beautiful. Stand is nice. I must thank someone for posting the correction in the assembly process. Leds are sweet, pc is bright. ONE PUMP is LOUD and the other is quiet. There is something wrong but I haven't got it figured out yet. Dont put it to close to the wall as it is difficult to get into the back. fan works well tanks stays at 78F. i would have gone 5 stars but i can't figure out why the right pump is noisy. $350 shipped!! best tank I ever bought!!
