The energy efficient MACRO-GLO refugium light is the smart solution for sumps that require powerful light output in a space-saving form. The MACRO-GLO securely clamps to the rim of the sump and can be easily positioned out of the way for routine maintenance without the fear of dropping the fixture in the water.
These unique lamps equal 5 times the brightness of traditional incandescent lamps while producing less heat and lasting an amazing 8000 hours. Each lamp has integrated ballast and fits the standard medium based lamp socket. Lamps will be the only item that needs to be replaced!
The MACRO-GLO is offered in 15 & 25 watt versions. They are installed with a 6400K Daylight to promote macro algae in refugium environments. All models include a parabolic reflector to maximize light intensity and coverage.
The MACRO-GLO can be adjusted at the head, arm, and base to fit your desired application. The unique articulation allows endless configurations for virtually any refugium. The clamp includes a spacer and allows for 360 degrees rotation.

I have this light attached to my DIY Refugium that has a large amount of Chaeto growing and is teaming with pods. The rock has a lot of color since I added this light. It is easy to use, the mount could have been a little better but it works. The only complaint I have is there is no splash guard for the bulb. Meaning if you have bubbles in popping under the light the water will reach the light and leave salt creep on the bulb. Otherwise it is a great light for the price. I would recommend this light.

The product failed within 2 days of use. It had an electrical short that nearly fried my aquarium controller and caused an electrical surge that shut my entire tank down. Would not turn back on after this and I returned it. Typical JBJ cheap, poorly made junk!

Works ok now, after 2 warranty replacements. Very poor construction, Poor quality on fixture and especially poor bulb quality. JBJ has sent replacements, very frustrating to deal with warranty department. Do not rely on this product to provide trouble free use, if you insist on buying, BUY A SECOND BULB, you will need it! Does not live up to the 5000 hour bulb life claim.

The idea for this light is excellent. However, the quality of the bulb was very lacking. Went through two seperate light systems and experienced the same bulb burn out with in days of installation.On the bright side (no punn intended) the Customer Service staff was superb in accepting returns for both lights!!!

Cool light concept, may work for some applications...However, does not work for what the title targets. After my macro died using the JBL, purchased a 6500k led (150 watt equiv.), kept two strands and now have macro growing like crazy. The JBJ Macro-Gro is not bright enough, never will be, even the "25 watt".

This is a well built and versatile product. However the bulb went out and stopped working after four days. I would still recommend this product to a friend. I put this light on my CPR HOB refugium that is hanging on my 14 gallon biocube.
