Comments: I was looking for a nitrate test that left no question in my mind as to the nitrate level in the water. This was it! Unlike my previous, other-brand test, the reading was precise and there was no reason for a best-guess estimate as I'd had to do previously. Unfortunately, I have no way to judge accuracy; the measurement made sense in my current situation and with my previous best-guess estimates. I feel this LaMotte test was well worth its price. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Very clear instructions and easy to use test kit. All components of the kit are identifiable by their product number (a 4-digit number) that is on every component. Test measures levels on the low end of 0.25ppm NO3-N or 1.1 ppm NO3. On the high end limits of the test it claims to measure 10ppm NO3-N or 44.4ppm of NO3. The color comparator that is supplied with the test kit is great and the color matches are very accurate. I can say that I am very satisfied and based on the procedural process of the test kit and the quality of the components and organization of the directions (which is of the highest importance for a non chemist like myself), I would highly recommend this product to everyone. One of the other negative reviewers claimed that the test kit would not measure results above 10ppm. I can only suspect that the reviewers results were not converted to NO3 by multiplying the results by the factor of 4.4. If the conversion is not done then the results measure Nitrate as Nitrate Nitrogen NO3-N. The test kit is costly, however you can purchase refills for the individual reagents so save the despensing caps, etc. I haven't attempted to re-stock the kit yet and have not stumbled on individual re-fills, so I do not know if this is even practical. Great test kit. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It's a fairly easy test to use, it is a colormetric so the results can be questionable when between the higher readings. The lower one's are ok. Overall I like it ! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is a very good kit which provides results of which you can have confidence - unlike cheaper products. It's simple and quick. There is a ten minute wait for full color development of the sample. Color comparison is very easy with the Octet Comparator that comes with the kit. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Test takes too long to perform at over 10 minutes. It’s only useful for testing nitrates between 0.25 and 10. No more accurate then cheaper tests and they take less time. I would not recommend this product to my friends.
