I purchased this unit to replace an older spectra pure ro/di system. I have since then replaced the maxcap and di cartriges several times in the first 3 months I used it. Support told me my water has too much CO2. I never had this problem with my older unit. The RO membrane also has a lower rejection rate than my old unit did when it was new. I regret buying this product.

It is written very clearly the GDP are based on temp and pressure. The unit works well. I am running at 43 psi and get 5 or so gallons per 1.5 hours.
FYI to anyone who has not used an R/O DI unit. Read all instructions before buying and again before use. The manuals are provided before purchase. No excuses.

I live in a area were I am on a Gravity Fed Water supply out of the tap I am lucky to get 5-10 PSI everyone in my area buys Booster Pumps that raise the PSI in my whole house to 90-100 PSI these pumps can be purchaced at a nation wide discount tool store called HF and mine has been running flawless for over a year now, I do not know if I can put the whole name of the tool store in the review but it cost a bit less than the RO/DI pump and does your whole house!!! just make sure your plumbing is in good condision so you don't burst any pipes that would have failed sooner if you had Normal water pressure so there are options to this unit I did not buy it yet but it is next on my list and have done a lot of research this is a great solution to a Phosphate problem I have with my water supply, every time I do a water change the next day I get a algae bloom from the high Phosphate in my water and the tap filter I use can not remove it! I know I will be going through filters like crazy because I am also going to use this for drinking water on top of 4 tanks I have but I hate scraping algae also it will remove all the other unknown stuff in my water since I never had it tested, I just wish I could use it to feed my washer and dishwasher to keep the valves free of junk

Paid $265 because I wanted to get at least 40-50 gpd...This Unit is supposed to do 90gpd, but fine print says water has to be at 77 degrees coming out of the sink/hose/whatever and psi has to be at 80, then you get 90gpd...My Psi and all over San Diego where I live is at 20psi...I get maybe 4-5 gpd if im lucky, while i wasted close to 50-70 gallons of water....Contacted customer service, they said buy booster pump for $200 plus tax plus shipping and then i get my 90gpd of ro/di....blahh..so frustrated

You cannot go wrong with this product, i have used it none stop and it has con't to give great results. Easy setup-no matter your experience level. comes with everything that is needed. 5 tanks smallest 90g largest custom 610g, i constantly need top off water. I did not need a booster pump but that is based on your water pressure at your location. This product did not give me any problems, no leaks cracks or bad water to date.

I have 3 saltwater tanks and needed to upgrade to a bigger tank as my corals just took off . I already had an RO/DI in the kitchen but since I am getting older, yes it happens, I was getting tired of carrier 5 gallon jugs. So I decided to get a new RO/DI machine.
I researched many models and decided to ho with this item. I could not be more happy. I located this machine in my basement and ran the supply up to the show tank and into the
Sump with the supplied float valve. It works perfect, no buckets for this tank. Now if some could invent a machine that added the correct amount of salt to the supply water I would be set

Very nice unit. I had a BRS RO/DI 5 stage unit and they white knuckled the filters on and when I changed the filters out...the connector in between each filter cracked and was worthless. I paid 65 bucks more for this one and I don't need to worry about this since they use plastic hose to connect each filter instead of a plastic connector and as an added bonus, they didn't white knuckle the filters on and reassures me that Spectrapure uses an adequate gasket instead of the flimsy one on the BRS unit.
