I'm happy with my 1st unit and buying a 2nd so I can swap bulbs and run actinics as dawn day and dusk whileother fixture is a day runner on 2 timers. The wall wart for the fan is a bit of a bad design choice. I have to run power bars from my timers. They could have integrated a small xfmr and had it be automatic. The fan is a bit noisy. A smarter designer would have used a 24v fan at 12v to keep it quiet. Power cord could have exited the side tomake my dual setup easier so I have to run the 180 apart and will have cords coming off the front of my set up. Docking hoks are quite useful on this unit. All in all though, a very nice unit. As I said, I'm buying another.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Before I get to the bad let me tell you about the good. This fixture is so slim it can be used to supplement existing lighting and it does this very effectivley. I used this light to supplement my existing 260watt PC fixture on my 55 gallon tank. With this combo I was able to kept even delicate sps corals without any color loss. Ok, know the bad. The finish on this fixture is terrible. If the slighest bit of salt touches this light the finish immediatley corrodes. Also, the fan is cheap and blow out on the third day. Lastly after a few months of use all of the screws are rusted to the point where they almost cannot be removed. If you buy this only do so to supplement other lighting. Do not buy this light as your primary light because it will not last.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Nice lamp for the price. Bought it to replace the Sunlight Supply Ready Fit fixture on my 55 that blew the ballast after less than a year. It does a fine job of lighting a 55 gallon with soft coral. No need for a canopy either, this unit mounts right over the tank and looks good. Other reviews gigged the noisy cooling fan. Not sure if it is a different model or if they changed the design, but this lamp has no cooling fan.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
