It is a little bulky and the red light is huge but I think it is growing on me. It is very easy to see and it not only tells you when it is heating, it blinks fast if the temp gets to be >5 degrees above the set temp and slow when it is >5 degrees lower. As for heating the tank it is working great on my 90 gallon marine tank. Time will always tell with heaters (its only been installed for a few days), but so far so good. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
