Comments: I have an older model ASM G2 that I purchased second hand and it had some mods done to it. Looking at the venturi it appeared that it had been cleaned by some sharp instruments so I decided to replace the venturi. The design appears to have had a few changes and the performance of the skimmer has improved noticeably. As soon as I replaced it I had to lower the water level in the skimmer about an inch due to the added amount of bubbles. I cannot confirm if ASM has made any changes to the original venture but replacing this on my skimmer was certainly worth the money. Even without the damage done by rough cleaning there were signs of wear on the old venturi that were reducing the amount of bubbles that were being produced.
I would recommend this product.
