Now that I'm using one i see it was well worth the cost. It takes the place of the Rena Filter intake and so eliminates one peice of equipment in the tank. It's also very accurate and heats very quickly. The LED light is a must for any heater to let you know it's working. Very good product and well worth the money. The temp settings are accurate. The led light works great. Let's you know that it is on, also if it is too cold or too hot. If you have a rena system this is a must have. I'm not using a rena system so it still works great. I also love how it is black which blends with my black background tank. I like this more then the Jager heaters. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
