Cramer Decker first expanded its early operations by utilizing its gas containment expertise to collaborate with Sherwood Scuba® in the development of its extensive line of scuba diving products. Today, The Sherwood Scuba Group® is among the five largest manufacturers of diving equipment in the world, and is comprised of a total of three brands, including Genesis Scuba® and AKONA Adventure Gear®. This success has, in turn, resulted in Cramer Decker becoming the largest distributor of diving and related products in the United States.
Over the years Cramer Decker also greatly expanded it presence in the compressed gas and cryogenic markets, and today is the nation`s largest wholesaler of compressed gas equipment. With over 7,000 products to serve the welding, industrial, specialty, ultra pure, medical, helium, cryogenic and water treatment industries, Cramer Decker’s expansive product offering is second-to-none. And, Cramer Decker has utilized its industry expertise to develop an extensive selection of proprietary product lines designed to satisfy unique industry needs, including ProRack® cylinder systems, Imperium® balloon inflators, and The Source® off-road automotive products.
In 2001 Cramer Decker expanded its operations into the medical respiratory market with the founding of Cramer Decker Medical, Inc. Cramer Decker Medical was established specifically to meet the growing respiratory product needs of home care providers, and is now a worldwide supplier of portable oxygen cylinders, oxygen regulators and portable oxygen systems.
In 2006 Cramer Decker entered the propane industry with its acquisition of McTier Supply Company, a leading propane supplier for over 35 years headquartered in Lake Forest, Illinois, with additional offices in Texas and Northern California. The acquisition enabled Cramer Decker to seamlessly enter the propane market, and to bring its substantial buying power, significant inventories and efficient operations to a substantial and growing marketplace.
Because of the continuing growth of Cramer Decker Industries’ operations, and by virtue of our significant market presence, Cramer Decker enjoys tremendous purchasing power in every industry that we serve. This enables us to offer our customers the most competitive pricing in the marketplace. In addition, with offices and distribution facilities in Southern California, Northern California and Maryland, Cramer Decker can satisfy customer orders anywhere in the United States within 3 business days, significantly reducing both transit times and shipping costs to the customer.
Today, Cramer Decker is a dynamically expanding company of distinct yet synergistic operating divisions, serving wholly separate yet related industries. Our focus is further expanding our market presence in our historic industries, and on identifying new and emerging opportunities. |
