Our pre-washed Super Naturals™ are designed with your success, and ease of use in mind. Packaged in sizes that make sense, most types are available in both 20 and 50 pound bags. We have carefully selected different sizes and colors for you, to help you create a natural underwater environment. These inert products will not affect your pH or alkalinity, allowing you to adjust both of these important water quality parameters any way you wish. While these can be used for marine aquariums, keep in mind you will have to use standard buffers, our aragaMilk™, or aragaMight™ to keep your alkalinity and pH up where they need to be.
Torpedo Beach - An inert, natural substrate. Recommended for freshwater aquariums with external filtration, and planted aquariums. Excellent for tanks with freshwater stingrays or catfish.

Comments: Reasonably diverse composition, size and material (color, texture... substance) but within the expected range for freshwater sand (larger grains, higher quartz content, etc). Low dust makes for easy application. Product is inert(doesn't alter water chemistry). An excellent filler for increasing substrate depth (how I used it, along with aquatic plant-specific substrates). Perfect product for tanks without live plants that desire a natural feel. Smooth grains will not irritate soft bellied fish (e.g. many catfish). If only you could order this product in larger quantities.
Then again, shopping at yout LFS (local fish store... just a little lingo) won't require shipping of what is essentially exotic, pulverized rock... and paying for shipping, of course.

Comments: great for stingrays and achirus errans, (brazilian soles)its very soft for their under belly. and will not change the PH or KH, (just sand) I highly recommend it for the freshwater aquaiums that require soft acidic water.
