The remote ballast is a great way to save room in the hood. The bulb came in in perfect shape and the color spectrum is very nice. Now I can add the corals I have been wanting to add for a while. I needed to replace the fluorescent light in an Eclipse hood with something brighter. It was easy to install and the light is much brighter now. I drilled a couple of 2" holes in the Eclipse hood, which seems to be providing adequate ventilation without the use of a fan. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
