Comments: I have had both these and the "sure-flo" kits. Both offer good flow, I think the sure-flo may actually push more water. However, these are much quieter. If you are using maxi-jet 1200s neither will last more than 6 months. When you compare the price to similar set ups offering this much flow, they are still a bargain in the short term. The biggest problem I had was I had to adjust the lock on mechanism. The spinning of the prop can spin off the shroud. After a small amount of fiddling, and occasional replacements, I am happy with these. I have 3 in a 125 and flow is awesome and quiet. This being said, buy tunze if you can afford it. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Unsatisfactory

Comments: I bought one of these pump mods and started using it. I was impressed at the performance and the amount of current flow, however it only worked for about 2 weeks and then just stopped working at all. I thought I had a fluke or something, so I ordered more of them. I started using another one and the same thing happened. It worked great for about 2 weeks and then just stopped working. I will be returning all of them if I can return them. I can't recommend these. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Great

Comments: I picked up an ECOMOD kit for my MJ1200 and it was amazing. For $35 ($20 for the mj, $15 for the mod), I had a pump putting out ridiculous flow. In fact, facing the other wall of my tank (pointing straight ahead from the back wall) 18" up, it was creating a sandstorm. I fitted it to my 600 (it works for all mj models, according to the box), where it continued to kick up sand for a day or two until it settled into dunes (in the same spot; I switched the two). The only downside is that the holding brackets it comes with have to be fitted on the lip of the tank. It's hard to adjust the size and angle, but it's worth it. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Overall this product is very good. MUCH better than the kits you assemble yourself. (I have purchased two different ones) There is some noise, but the flow in incredible. The “Anti-Reverse” mechanism works well. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
