Eheim pumps haveSuperior quality ; ceramic shaft, ceramic and carbon bearing. Suitable for use in or out of fresh or salt water. These pumps nearly run silent and have low energy consumption.

Centrifugal pump suitable for permanent use, both above and below water.

Not Self-priming.

Integrated pre-filter. Suction intake nozzle for hose connections. Can be unscrewed and sealed if suction is effected via pre-filter.

Excellent!

Super Quiet by Tang Police

Excellent!

Best In-Sump Return Pump by Rooted619

Comments: I was looking for a new return pump for my 120g Reef system and there were a few characteristics that were necessary for my setup: * Must be in-sump * Must be quiet * Must have very little heat output * Must be dependable * Must have good flow So I picked up this Eheim 1260 and all I can say is Ill never choose another in-sump return pump. It fulfilled all of my necessary requirements for my return and at a reasonable price. At 5' head the output is still very good. I highly recommend this pump for in-sump applications. If you are looking for an external pump this would suffice but there are other options out there such as Sequence Reeflo.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
