Eheim pumps have superior quality ; ceramic shaft, ceramic and carbon bearing. Suitable for use in or out of fresh or salt water. These pumps are nearly silent in operation and are low energy consumption. Centrifugal pump suitable for permanent use, both above and below water. Not Self-priming. Integrated pre-filter. Suction intake nozzle for hose connections. Can be unscrewed and sealed if suction is effected via pre-filter.

Excellent!

Silent and works great! by Chris

Comments: This pump is more quiet than the Mag's but its a bit more expensive, it has a 3 year guerentee, but marine depot dont list that it has it, but the box says so. But it works awsome.

Excellent!

Comments: Highly recommended pump. I replaced a mag 24 with the 1262 and the difference was nothing short of remarkable. The temp in my 215 gallon tank dropped 6 degrees and its very quiet!
