Before this, the surface of my tank got so cloudy it was shading my plants from the light. A few downsides though, such as the occasional purging of air that gets drawn down into the filter and the limited installation instructions. Otherwise, a good product and I would recommend it highly! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
