Its unrivaled design virtually eliminates light "re-strike" in the lamp, allowing the arc tube to burn cooler while giving excellent uniform light dispersal over your reef. The nature of the design will allow the typical hobbiest with a six foot tank to burn two lamps and get uniform light distribution over the entire length of the aquarium.
