NutraPlus Reef is a microalgae, rotifers and copepods mix for carnivorous and herbivorous filter feeding animals in marine aquariums. It is based on the micro algae, Dunaliella salina, produced in one of the most pristine regions of Australia and exclusive to the Nutraplus line. The unmatched carotenoid content of Dunaliella salina, mainly beta-carotene, makes it a truly unique unicellular algae. The health benefits of D. salina are being discovered all over the world with the benefits to marine aquariums just beginning to be unlocked. In addition to this rich algae, nutraplus reef also contains green algae from the Chlorella, Spirulina, and Nanochloropsis species. Finally, NutraPlus Reef is infused with a combination of rotifers (Brachionus plicatilis), copepods, and other zooplankton at a concentration of over 2000 per ml. NutraPlus Reef is formulated specifically to fulfill the nutritional requirements of most reef dwelling herbivorous and carnivorous filter feeders including soft/hard corals, feather dusters, sponges, ascidians, tridacnid clams and other invertebrates, as well as first feeding fish larvae. It enhances and brightens the natural colors of any organism kept under artificial conditions.
