Comments: I have always had trouble maintaining the pH of my fresh water tank around 7.0 both because of variations in the tap water and difficulty using pH balancing products in the past. This stuff is SIMPLE and works well. You simply add 15 drops to each gallon of deionized water. This product is formulated to work with Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Tap Water Filter. I do not know if it would work as well or as easily with other deionizer models. Although I am a Pharmacist by training, with lots of chemistry education, I am baffled why deionized water is not pH neutral. Can anyone explain? I know that all hobbies are expensive. But it seems unreal to be spending so much to keep my guppies and a few other fish alive! But that tap water where I live has a pH of about 8.4 (it dissolves our copper pipes!) and is loaded with magnesium and calcium!
