Comments: Use correctly for best results. Rinse in fresh water, fill slowly to eliminate bubbles. Tap before you read. I have had this hydrometer for 15 years and test everyday. I consistently get results that have been confirmed with other arm reading devices. Refraction is best...however this one is an easy to use, suitable for daily use tool.

Excellent!

Comments: I bought this hydrometer, and at first had problems with getting inconsistent and high readings. The trick is learning how to get the water in without bubbles sticking to the pointer. If you slowly lower it into the water with the semicircular part facing down (i.e. long flat side on top), then rotate it into the vertical position while underwater, then gently take it out, it comes out bubble free and quite accurate (I found it consistently reading 0.001 lower than a refractometer). So for the money, it is great, unfortunately it is not operator error proof.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
