This filter works as advertised but I would have liked an indicator on the unit denoting the heater is active as well as a smaller probe or internal sensor for the temp. One of the reasons I bought the thermofilter was to get the heater out of the tank. It does that but you have to place a probe in the tank for temp display. I would not recommend this product to my friends.
