The HQI lamp emits the highest light-output-per-watt available that is preferred in most reef aquariums. I thought it had loose screws in it but if you take off the lense it is a small chain that keeps the lens from falling totally off. Duh... Got it over a 29 Biocube. Ballast does get reallllly hot...
