Comments: I bought 3 Digi-Temp in aquarium digital thermometers. When I seen them they looked like a good idea. I put all three in same aquarium and there was 5 degree difference between high an low and none matched the mercury thermometer. One only lasted a month, there was no water inside. Tried several batteries to no avail.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Read out is large and easy to see. Temp is accurate within 1/2 a degree . It hangs right beside my 24/7 ammonia detector.....

Too big, inflexible by ian field

Comments: This thermometer is just a little clunky - it's too big to put in my NanoCube 12 display, so I have it in the third chamber. I have to detach it to get a reading, so it really defeats the purpose. It would be great if it floated, but, it doesn't.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

One bad experience by OSCAR A MILLAN

Comments: I had a Digi-Temp on my 65 gallon reef and the temperatures always seemed very high, around 84. I did everything to cool the system down using several fans and even considered a chiller. Finally brought the temperature down to 77/78. Evertying started to look terrible and I couldn't explain why. Corals weren't opening, fish seemed shy and stressed. Eventually fish and coral started to die. I finally figured out that my temperature monitor was off by 5 degrees. My tank was running constantly at 72/73 degrees instead of 77/78. I've owned many of these before and they have been good, but this was just a bad experience that I don't think is common, but still is worth mentioning. Since then I've placed two in each tank to check agaisn't each other. My current setup has two of these one at each side reading 78 and 80 respectively. Which is still a two degree difference, but not bad. Quality is good, but accuracy I would place at average.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
