Description

The Direct Connect 4 modules features 4 relay controlled outlets each capable of switching 120V at 8 Amps. The DC4 enables a very reliable hardwired connection between the AquaController and all controlled devices - X10 interference problems caused by noisey electronic ballasts (i.e. Blueline) are eliminated. NOTE: Due to the high inrush current (greater than 40 Amps) on ICECAP ballasts, it is recommended that the DC4HD (heavy duty) is used instead.

Up to 5 DC4s can be daisy chained for up to 20 switched outlets.

Comments: These things are great. I've got two DC4HDs and one DC8 in addtion to this DC4 and they all work well. Much better then the X10 units although I still have two of those in the system. The only thing I've noticed is they seem to need power for the daisy chain to work. If you disconnect (or lose) power to the first DC in the string all the others appear to freeze in whatever state they were in. If you are powering things on different circuits make sure to put critical items on the first DC in the daisy chain.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
