Description

The Aquadyne Ethernet Terminal Server (EtherGadget) connects the Octopus Controller to Ethernet networks using the IP protocol family. Communications is established through the use of TELNET sessions between AquaWeb II and the EtherGadget device.

To establish communications over the network each EtherGadget needs to have a STATIC IP address defined for it, along with a port number defined to direct communications. Configuration of the IP address and port number is done by user via terminal emulation program such as Hyper-Terminal.
