Comments: i got this because of the quality of there other test kits. So far it seems they did not do so well on this one. i had an algae problem and tried to find the root of it. Salifert reads 0 phosphates in tank and RO water, then i bought a hanna meter and tank = .05ppm and RO water = .03ppm. if you can read phosphate level with kit then your phosphates are super high!!! I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Pretty simple test, easy to use, very clear instructions. Its a little difficult to distinguish between some of the colors on the scale (goes from clear = 0 to light blue = 3 with a very subtle gradient inbetween), but it was pretty obvious that I had unacceptable levels of phosphate in my water so the test did its job! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Salifert Phosphate Test by rroselavy

Comments: Easy to perform, hard to read. Blue shades on the color chart are hard to differentiate. Shape of the test vial is odd -creating shadows and reflections that hinder the evaluation of the color. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
