I bought it for my 110G Reef tank and installed a 2nd 150 Metal Halid light at the same time. It keeps my tank cooler than it was before. There is more evaporation but worth it. It is very quite, would try this before spending 100's on an chiller.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

The fan did exactly what it was supposed to do... it lowered the temp. in my 72 gallon FOWLR from 82 to 77... I was quite surprised to see the 5 degree drop. However, it significantly increased the water evaporation... leading to a 5 gallon change in water in less than 5 days. This was too much to be acceptable and I've since purchased a chiller and will suppliment with the fan on an as needed basis. If you don't mind frequent water changes... this will save you hundreds on a chiller.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

i use this fan in a lighted enclosure with some orchids. i don't how it's all that much better than something similar that you might find at Walgreen's or wherever, but it works fine.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Ordered this, and it seems to be exactly what I wanted - quiet and very powerful. But, the casing is NOT 6", the blades are. It's quite a bit bigger than that and wouldn't fit under the canopy of my 100g tank. BTW according to manual, on High it pushes 190cfm at 12w and 37dbA, low it's 90cfm, 9W, 34dbA.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
