I have a small 5 compartment Betta tank (Aprox 4 Gal.) and it does its job fine. I only gave it 4 stars because the temperature scale is not very accurate, specially at 80+ temperatures. However, once set, it holds a very steady temperature. I recommendo users to guage temperature settings with an external thermometer to establish the right temperature.
