The Knop calcium reactor, also known as "The Original One", is a well established product and is the number one selling calcium reactor in Germany for 4 years. Its unique design requires minimal injection of CO2 without the concerns of low aquarium pH. As with all calcium reactors, it provides the stability of calcium, KH as well as strontium for maximum growth of all corals. It is especially useful for stony corals and clams since it is able to maintain your calcium levels in excess of 450 ppm.

The KNOP Calcium Reactor was developed and patented by marine scientist Daniel Knop. He is recognized by many hobbyists as an expert on giant clams as seen in his literature and books. His research resulted in the finest calcium reactor available today. His unique design allows for minimal injection of CO2 for dissolving the aragonite/calcium carbonate.
