Pan World Magnetic Water Pumps are built by a former chief engineer from Iwaki-Japan. It basically has the same specifications such as flow curves, high head pressure and reliability. It also features seal-free bearings and magnetic drive for trouble-free use. These pumps are actually a bit quieter than Iwaki pumps and costs less making it a good or even better alternative. Great pump by JUSTIN FRESE Experience Level: Intermediate Posted on 8/11/2007 from SONOMA, CA UNITED STATES Comments: Very pleased with the Pan World 150PS pump. It is reasonably quiet, and realy seems to move a lot of water. I have this pump sucking water out of a 30 gallon sump, pushing through (2) Pentair Aquatics "Double" inline filters, and a bit is split off into a fludized bed filter before returning to a 90 Gallon tank with about 6 foot high waterline. Even with a few unfortunate PVC elbows, I have about 300gph of real world water flow. This pump replaced (2) Quiet One 4000 pumps, which could only push about 200gph thought the same setup. The pressure guage on the Pentair filter now reads a constant 10psi, whereas the (2) QuietOne 4000's only registered about 4psi. I'm glad I got this model. NOt too big, but definately not too small. Lots of Flow, Super Quiet by VYTO Comments: Lucky for the ball valves I installed, otherwise I would have overflowed my tank. My overflow box can't keep up with the output of this pump.
