Filter socks are the most convenient form of mechanical filtration. They remove excess food, detritus, organic waste, dust, and other particulates. Removing these particulates from the water column will reduce the amount of organic matter that produces ammonia and other undesirable substances in the aquarium. Comments: Quality and performance is excellent. I have a 3000 liter reef aquarium with lots of corals and fish. The water overflows on two sides into the large sump,now via two "Blue Life Filter Socks". The result is perfect, really crystal clear aquarium water. Unfortunately I have to clean the socks every one to two days. But it is OK since the benefit is clearly visible. Best regards Wolfgang

Excellent!

Comments: I use 4 of them on my 579 gallon tank. I actually own 8 of them and change them out all at once and wash the other ones in the washing machine. Excellent product, clear water.
